Summer is in full swing but that doesn't mean some of use aren't dreaming of fall sessions already! I wanted to come back to this session and give it the spotlight it deserves; it's one of my favorites! Alex + Shelby originally had their wedding scheduled in August but decided on the difficult decision to postpone their wedding due to COVID-19. I am so excited to still be shooting their wedding and I wish them nothing but good vibes as they take on the rescheduling!
I wanted to jump back and revisit this session again because I got to try many new locations and it definitely challenged me creatively! Our first location was this amazing parking ramp in downtown Cedar Rapids, Shelby actually had this spot picked out personally! The rooftop view, lighting - incredible.
This parking ramp was absolutely amazing! I am still so obsessed with these images, and I never get sick of looking at them!
After that amazing parking ramp we headed downtown to take some images in front of the Museum of Art!
I was so excited to shoot at the Palisades for the first time! Luckily the water was super low so we had plenty of beach to run around on! I remember how cold it was this day, don't let these images fool you! These two were absolutely freezing and we all had to take numerous breaks to warm up.
Either way these two powered through and I was so proud of them!
Obsessed with this ring by the way, holy moly!!!
Goofing off of course, what's new during a session with Lily...haha
The rest of these images are pretty fall-esc (duh), some more cozy shots and one more ring shot and that wraps this session up!
So excited for your wedding, you two!! I'll be counting down the days!
